I’ve learnt that to build a captivating story, you must define its dramatic premise, chart your character's emotional arc, outline what's at stake for them, and lead with emotion.

I’m an inventive user of picture and sound and can create cinematic sequences from both drama and documentary material.
I use sound design to enhance the pictures and create an immersive atmosphere and to heighten emotion.

I have worked on many complex factual stories from Brexit and Covid, to the Syrian Civil War.
The challenge of these projects is to find the right balance between providing context and crafting an unfolding story.
Getting this right is key to turning a global news story into a heartfelt powerful documentary that illuminates the world we live in.
